Youth Forum

Oswestry Town Council in partnership with SYA (Shropshire Youth Association) is in the process of developing a Youth Forum for Oswestry. This is a chance for young people to share their opinions on issues that matter to them and get directly involved in discussions taking place at the Town Council. The long-term aim is to encourage input and involvement on specific topics and provide opportunities for young people to shape youth provision in Oswestry. The Youth Forum has a budget of £5000 to spend on agreed priorities and projects.

If you are interested in getting involved, get in touch and help raise the profile on youth issues in Oswestry. The Forum is open to anyone aged 11 years up to their 18th birthday and meetings currently take place half-termly, usually during school holidays.

If you are a young person who would like to take part or know any young people who would like to contribute, please contact Corrie Davies at [email protected] or Jess Williams at [email protected].

To attend the forum, parents must complete a parental consent form, which can be emailed to [email protected]. Children can also bring the consent form with them on the day. One form will cover you for all sessions.
