Remembrance Sunday

Oswestry Town Council, the Royal British Legion and representatives from St Oswald’s Parish Church have been putting in plans for this years Remembrance Sunday Parade which will take place on Sunday 14th of November.

As is the tradition in Oswestry the parade will be led to the memorial gates by the PorthYWaen Silver Band where a service of remembrance will be held. The parade will then proceed back up to the Guildhall for a short dismissal ceremony. The Town Council will be contacting local organisations and community representatives over the next few weeks to set out the arrangements which will need to take into account covid related issues, as with 2020 the service will be broadcast via facebook. A service of remembrance will be held simultaneously at St Oswalds.

Further information will be provided closer to the day
