OSWESTRY TOWN COUNCIL – TOWN CLERK
Arren Roberts will commence duties in July replacing David Preston who is leaving the Council after 44 years of service to become the Chief Executive of the National Association of British Market Authorities.
Arren has been Assistant Town Clerk at Oswestry Town Council for the past 3 years but previously gained a wealth of experience with local government authorities in Shropshire and Wales.
Town Mayor, Councillor Sandy Best, confirmed that "Arren was the unanimous choice of the Council. We look forward to working with him on the many projects, opportunities and challenges that we face in the months ahead."
Arren Roberts said "It's a real privilege to have been appointed to the position of Town Clerk and I am extremely grateful for the faith that the elected Members have shown in me. I would like to thank my colleagues at Oswestry Town Council for their support. I am extremely pleased, proud and humbled."
