National Arboretum Visit

The Mayor, Cllr. John Price and Councillor Peter A. Cherrington intend to arrange a visit to the National Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire. The Mayor will be in attendance offering his support to the armed forces and Ex Servicemen and Women.

The event would take place Sunday the 1st September 2019 and in order to facilitate this. The cost is expected to be in the region of £10 per head, this covers the journey from Oswestry and the return .

The visit is open to all military personnel, serving and retired and would include all branches and all services, family and friends.

It is intended to leave Oswestry at 10am and return between 3 & 4pm. Should anyone have specific dietary needs if taking lunch please contact 01283-245100 and ask for assistance.

We would ask if any persons interested in joining us on this day would email or text to the following contacts in order for number to be made available to staff at the Arboretum.

Mobile text: 079 777 633 85

It is hoped we will be able to fill a coach and have good day with everyone having an opportunity to walk around the facility in general and visit their own branch areas. On completion we will then arrange to meet at an agreed time at the main monument in order to give our grateful thanks and prayers to those who gave everything for us. (Our Fallen Comrades).

Thanking you all in anticipation
