Mayor Presents Cheque to Marches School

Nathan Meakin, Y10, has formally accepted a grant for £1000 from Oswestry Town Mayor on behalf The Marches School. The grant, kindly provided by Oswestry Town Council, will provide funds for the young entrepreneurs at The Marches School (pictured) to start up their own businesses using the school’s brand new Marches Enterprise initiative.

Working in partnership with the town council and supported by the Business department at The Marches, the students will develop their ideas and go on to sell their products at the Oswestry Town market. It's hoped this fund will inspire plenty of young people in the town over the coming years to not only develop entrepreneurial skills, but to one day set up thriving businesses in the town centre.
