Come and do your Christmas Shopping in Oswestry
This covers Saturday and Sunday 7th/8th , 14th/15th and 21st/22nd December. Please note that this covers the Town Council operated car parks only, Central car park, The Horsemarket and Smithfield Street.
With car parking in Oswestry, already free on Sundays, this means that shoppers will have the benefit of free parking in the three weekends on the run up to Christmas.
Mayor, Councillor John Price, said: "Parking is already free every evening after 6pm and this is just one of the other ways that we promote the town and encourage people to come and visit.
"We want to make Oswestry as welcoming and inviting as we can in the festive season. It is a small gesture to encourage shoppers here - come and shop local."
"There is lots going on in Oswestry and I am looking forward to Christmas Music Live on the 6th and the Parade on the 7th - both are fantastic events that bring thousands into the town. The Artisan Market on the 20th of December is going to be a bumper one and a great place to get local foodie gifts and treats"
The initiative is supported by the Oswestry BID and the Oswestry Chamber of Commerce.
