Register for your free bin for recycling plastic, cans and glass

Following requests from residents, a new bin is being introduced to help us all to recycle more. The new bin will have a purple lid to help differentiate it from your other bins, and will replace your current boxes to make it easier for you to recycle your plastic, cans and glass (you will still need to use your blue sack to recycle paper and cardboard).

12 The Cross (former Edinburgh Woollen Mill building)

We are seeking a company to carry out essential repairs to the roof and other components at 12 The Cross, Oswestry. For the full tender documentation please email Once repairs have been carried out the interior of the property will be converted to final use by the partner chosen by Council last year.

Oswestry In Lights 2021

Oswestry In Bloom Members have been touring the town looking for the best decorated house this Christmas. After careful consideration it was agreed that this year’s winner was Mr and Mrs Williams of Ferrers Road, Oswestry who have put up a wonderful display this Christmas. All the lights were homemade by Mr Williams with the help of his son, which they started making about 6 months ago.

Oswestry in Lights

Once again, the Oswestry in Bloom Committee will be running their annual Oswestry in Lights Competition. This will involve Committee Members touring the town throughout December looking for the best decorated residential Christmas display.
