Summer of Art Continues into Heritage Open Days Festival
Oswestry has always been a creative town and this summer we are celebrating art in its many forms.
Oswestry’s ‘Summer of Art’ programme takes its inspiration from the 2023 Heritage Open Days theme, ‘Creativity Unwrapped’. This has inspired Oswestry’s Cultural Consortium to ‘artify’ Oswestry for the entire summer, with a finale built around an ART-efact exhibition, held at Cross Market Hall. Four talented local artists have used the fascinating collections housed at Oswestry Town Archives and Oswestry Town Museum to inspire their art, which will be on display from the 9th to the 17th of September.
There are several events celebrating Oswestry arts and culture during the Heritage Open Days Festival including museum open days, films, heritage railway tours, poetry and history walks.
