STREET TRADING POLICY
Oswestry Town Council has published its draft street trading policy for consultation. It can be viewed here or you can contact email@example.com for a copy.
Responsibility for street trading has sat with the former Borough Council and Shropshire Council but under the Local Government Act 1972 this has now been delegated to the Town Council. Oswestry Town Council is pleased to adopt this function in order to facilitate more local decision making. Street trading is important to both the local environment and the local economy.
Although this policy outlines the fact that town centre streets are currently designated as consent streets, it is the current policy not to issue any new street trading consents during 2017/18 other than market related activities.
Consultation will close on the 26th of May 2016, please contact a.roberts(at)oswestry-tc.gov.uk with your feedback
