Pray For London

On behalf of my Town Council colleagues and our local community I would like to express our deepest sympathy to the victims, and their family and friends, following the horrific events on Saturday evening in the Borough Market area of London.

We are saddened and shocked at yet another cowardly attack and also record our support and sympathy for all those involved and affected by this latest atrocity. Our admiration and gratitude is also extended for the work of the Police and emergency services and the many volunteers that assisted at personal sacrifice.

Working with the National Association of British Market Authorities we have friends and colleagues at Borough Market and we offer them our support and prayers at this very difficult and upsetting time.

It is heartening, and very important, to see today that despite such terrorist attacks, and resulting sorrow, that business and day to day life in London, and across the country, carries on proudly and as near to normal as possible.

The flag at Oswestry Guildhall is being flown at half-mast as we remember and pray for all those whose lives have been shattered by yet another cowardly act.
