Oswestry Town Council: National Bloom in Oswestry

National Bloom in Oswestry

A huge thank you to everyone that made judging day so special and really showcased Oswestry to the RHS National in Bloom judges.

The 3 hour visit involved presentations, visits, walking and driving tours and discussions with local media. The judges enjoyed both a civic welcome from the Mayor Councillor Sandy Best and also from our recently appointed Town Crier Phil Brown.

We now await the announcement of results in October at the presentation evening in Belfast.

So many people and organisations must be thanked for making today so successful. The greatest thanks goes to Betty Gull and her Oswestry in Bloom Committee. Their work has been ongoing for 12 months to gear Oswestry up for the judging today.

Oswestry as a town and community was warmly received today by the judges. Being in the national final is a huge honour representing Heart of England in Bloom. Our thanks and congratulations to everyone who made today so memorable.
